I’m Markéta, the founder of PetAbroad. My journey into pet travel started back in 2016 when I first began flying across Europe with my Chihuahua. Back then, we were usually the only ones on the plane with a dog, but over the years, I've loved seeing more and more people choose to travel with their furry best friends. Clocking in around six to ten flights a year for the past decade, I’ve experienced firsthand just how confusing and stressful navigating airline regulations can be. In the beginning, I had to learn everything on the go through a lot of trial and error. I created PetAbroad to be the exact resource I wished I had when I was first starting out. My goal is to share my real-world experience so you can skip the confusion, avoid the common pitfalls, and focus on enjoying the adventure with your dog.
